Two Cases of Erythema Elevatum Diutinum

Abstract
|

|
We report 2 cases of erythema elevatum diutinum, one in a 53-year-old woman(case 1) and the other in a 70-year-old woman(case 2). The patients had painful erythematous papules, plaques, bullae and nodules on the dorsa of both hands. ASLO value showed marked elevation in case 1. A test for recall antigen(Multitest CMIⓡ) showed positive reaction to streptococcal ntigen(Lancefield group C ) in case 2.
Histopathologic findings showed dense perivascular infiltration of neutrophils, lymphoid cells and nuclear dusts with deposition of fibrinoid materials within and around the blood vessel walls.
On administration of dapsone, her skin lesions improved remarkably in case 2.
